Job Description and Responsibilities

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

Duties performed by this position include but are not limited to TS16949 support, plant document control, assisting Quality Engineers on problems solving and program submissions and ensuring that various areas of the Quality Department are run efficiently.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Under general supervision is responsible for the following major tasks:

  • Control and maintain the Level III Master Manuals, inserting as necessary new documents and removing obsolete documents
  • Maintain Level I and Level II documents manuals and issue controlled copies to personnel on the Master Distribution List
  • Coordinate the process for distributing, updating and authorizing draft Level III documents
  • Track draft documents that need to be returned or canceled
  • Maintain a history file of original drafts, current drafts, and any obsolete master documents in-between
  • Create and maintain a Master Index of current documents and their revision level, based on a TS16949 requirement. Manage document numbers
  • Notify appropriate personnel concerning documents that need to be obsoleted. Track returned obsolete documents
  • Stamp “Reference” documents as requested
  • Log in blue prints and part numbers
  • Log in color plaques
  • Log in other documents ( i.e. customer books, specifications, OIS's)
  • “Control” the purchasing and distribution of outside forms
  • Create and maintain charts for various functions (i.e. Accident Report, Maintenance Work Order and Press Downtime Chart, Staffing Chart, Turnover/Termination Chart, Safety Walk-Through Chart, Organization Chart, etc.). Update as requested
  • Maintain QOS data and trend charts
  • Attend TS16949 Steering Committee meetings. Participate in a TS16949 work team
  • Advise and teach the document control system
  • Maintain quality records and program files for department
  • Enter all reject/rework reports into computer daily, check reports against move tickets for production control
  • Generate daily disposition report and daily hold report
  • Assists in coordination of TS16949 quality audits
  • Serve as back-up for Quality Assurance Supervisor for all production related and color coordination responsibilities
  • Assist Quality Engineers in problem solving and analysis for programs
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Minimum of 12 months experience working in an office environment including computer training or experience. Manufacturing plant experience is helpful. Posses the ability to learn and perform lengthy routinized steps as demonstrated by a minimum score of 16 on the Wonderlic Personnel Test. Agreement to complete all post-hire required training.
