Your responsibilites
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Senior Originator to join our expanding team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in sourcing and acquiring SME and SME portfolio borrowers for our platform, focusing on companies interested in issuing on-chain bonds and commercial paper. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with potential issuers, build strong relationships, and guide them through the process of leveraging our platform to access funding from a diverse range of investors.
Responsibilities
Identify and target potential issuer companies interested in issuing debt securities.
Conduct outreach to generate leads and establish connections with key decision-makers.
Clearly communicate the value proposition of Obligate's platform, emphasizing its efficiency and the benefits of direct issuance of blockchain-based bonds.
Collaborate closely with the Business Development team to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
Guide issuers through the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
Provide ongoing support and act as a trusted advisor to clients, addressing their questions and concerns promptly.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and competitive landscape to effectively position Obligate in the market.
Your profile
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Proven experience in sales, preferably in the financial or fintech sector.
Strong understanding of credit risk assessment and underwriting processes in the lending industry, including evaluating borrower creditworthiness, collateral assessment, and loan structuring.
Solid understanding of financial concepts, including financial statements, cash flow analysis, and risk assessment methodologies.
Knowledge of debt securities, bonds, or commercial paper, with an understanding of the issuance process.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills to establish and nurture relationships with issuers, gaining their trust and confidence in the lending platform.
Familiarity with decentralized finance (DeFi) and blockchain technology is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders.
Self-motivated and target-driven individual with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Fluency in English is required; French, German or any other European language preferred.
